About the Super Car Club
The Supercar Group is a group of business's founded by Greg Hollamby in 2000 whose activities are all related to Supercars, their owners and enthusiasts. There are two main brands within the group: The Supercar Club and Supercar Magazine.
The event side of the business operates as the Supercar Club, with events such as The Giro d'Italia, The Supercar Run and The Supercar Classic under its control. In addition the Supercar Club also operates events for and on behalf of other companies as well as with its sister company, The Race Events SARL in Switzerland.
History.
- 2000 - The first event was launched
- 2002 - The first Supercar Run took place in 2002 between Hyde Park, London and the Hotel De Paris, Monaco.
- 2002 - With an increasing number of people taking part in these events, the Supercar Club was created in 2002. The Club runs a number of Supercar, classic Supercar and race car related events throughout Europe.
- 2004 -The next step was the magazine ‘Supercar' which was launched in 2004. This is now at Issue 12 and is expanding rapidly.
- 2005 - The Supercar Group was contracted to create and deliver the ‘Broughtons GT, a pan European event for Broughtons Bentley, Aston Martin, Spyker and Koenigsegg clients.
- 2006 - Launch of the ‘Supercar Classic', pan-european rally for classic Supercars, and the ‘Supercar Challenge' track events at Europe's most testing and historic circuits.
- 2007 - Along with Pablo Dana, Greg Hollamby creates The Race Events company in Switzerland. Supercar Club events :‘Supercar Run', ‘Supercar Classic', ‘Broughtons GT07', ‘The Supercar Challenge' and ‘The Race'.
- 2008 - ‘Giro D' Italia', ‘Supercar Classic', ‘Broughtons GT', ‘The Race', 'Ultimate Collection' and 'Heritage Enclosure' at the British International Motorshow
- 2009 - 'Brooklands to Monte Carlo' and the 'Tour Alpina'
- 2010 - The Giro d'Italia makes its second outing and becomes an annual event. First Supercar Club event in America takes place in September.
